DynamoDB Support

There is an inactive Github issue about DynamoDB support, which has reached 100 likes.

It would be nice to get some feedback about this!

There hasn’t been any feedback on this since April, despite the topic having 130 upvotes on github

Given the choice of more databases or better visualisations, I know where I’d like the time spent.

There are plenty of solutions for getting data from DynamoDB into something more ‘queryable’

If you have a link to those better solutions, it would be great! I’m interested.

There are plenty, but these look most interesting
To SQL Server with scripting: https://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/5621/importing-data-from-aws-dynamodb-into-sql-server-2017/

Zapier to SQL: https://zapier.com/apps/dynamodb/integrations/sql-server

To mysql with powershell: https://www.cdata.com/kb/tech/dynamodb-powershell-replicate.rst
with Zapier: https://zapier.com/apps/dynamodb/integrations/mysql

the zapier integrations are premium, but when I’ve used Zapier in the past I’ve been mostly impressed (just don’t lose your MFA details)

Panoply offers a very ‘queryable’ solution (ETL + Data Warehouse). https://panoply.io/integrations/amazon-dynamodb/metabase/
Here is a step by step tutorial for setting it up (albeit for Tableau)

Thanks! Looks interesting but way too expensive for my simple needs, unfortunately.
