Hi I am new to metabase. running single user pointing to SQLite local file. I created an elaborate datamodel all good. Then I copied an updated database file to the metabase referenced location. Datamodel is gone! can it be recovered? I have about 3 hours in it.

Furthermore, my defined questions are only displaying fields filtered from the datamodel work I did, but in the admin tool all fields are showing as everywhere. I cannot effectively expose a field that was originally hidden in the datamodel I lost.

Which version of Metabase and how are you running Metabase?
There should be a metabase.db.mv.db file, which is the internal H2 database storing all configurations, data models etc.
If you’re lost that file, then there isn’t much you can do.
Otherwise it might be an issue with file permission rights, when you’ve copied the file around.
didn’t understand the point of the metabase.db.mv.db file. i am not regularly backing it up. thanks for the pointer
