when I save a question, it seems to automatically run it again. Firstly - I don’t want it to automatically run after saving. If it has to however, then there needs to be some way to terminate the query. If I leave the page or stop the page, the query still continues to run against my database. An option to actually terminate the query would be great whenever the query starts to run.

Hmmm. Can you open a bug report and share the server logs for the specific calls, as well as the DB the question uses? Can't seem to repro it on the sample database.

I'm having the same issue. I'm running the latest version of metabase with Bigquery as db. Upon saving the question it gets automatically executed. How to avoid this?
