Constructing custom question filters from queries

Hi all,

Fantastic effort. It's easily up there with some of the more expensive products we're evaluating. Quick question about creating questions. Haven't seen this in the discussion yet, or maybe not using the right search criteria, but is it possible to create a re-usable question filter whose options are from a query on an existing table in the db somewhere?

i.e. instead of selecting an operator on an ID field, selecting one or more options from a drop-down?

We don’t currently have a way to do this, but we’d love to hear about examples of how you’d use this as a new issue at www.github.com/metabase/metabase/issues/new

It’s on our radar but probably not going to happen in the next few releases.
