Dashboard Filter not showing date options when data type has already been defined as a date

I am trying to setup a date filter for a dashboard that contains custom SQL query results and visualisation. When I try and link the filter to a card it says no fields found but when I go into the SQL query and look at the formatting of the results, it's clearly defined as a date field type.

Why is it not allowing me to link please?

Post "Diagnostic Info" from Admin > Troubleshooting.
