I want to understand the details of choosing the field type in the data model; some are quite self-evident, date, number, etc.
but what’s the difference between enum, source, product for example? or creation-date vs join-date?
The only information source I was able to find was this and it doesn’t seem to go into these details.

Most are used for x-rays - it isn’t documented and there’s definitely several legacy types that aren’t used anymore:
