Dynamic Default Value on a Date Range Filter

I'm trying to figure out a way to manipulate my filter (in a SQL/Native query) to allow any date range to be chosen, but the default filter to be the previous 10 days (including current date). The field I'm filtering on is a timestamp field. I've searched through various discussion threads and tried different things that appeared to be solutions, but so far no luck. Any help is much appreciated!

I have the same problem but I only need the day before the current one.
