Filter widget type for date 'Year'

Hello, I would like to ask if there is in the plans to add 'Year' filter on top of the other in SQL filter widget type and if not, if there is a limitation as to the reason for not doing it.

If it was just never requested before I can open an issue in GitHub

You can use Number filter as a workaround, but there's a request for Year filter:
