How can I insert or update value into a database table field

Hi

I am planning to use Metabase. I have one question about inserting/updating any field in the master database. for example, I have one table “Student”. I can see all the data in Metabase. Now I want to update one field of this table for a specific student.

student.status = PASS

Does Metabase give the flexibility to update/insert data into main tables?

No, purely read only.
I’d like to see the option to embed external stuff to allow this, but not sure if/when.
