A lot of ide's and psql use a symbol for that like Ø or something.

Most people doesn't know the difference between null and '', so for them it's just empty/blank.
You can use Conditional Formatting as a possible solution.
Ok thanks for the tip. Was hoping for something a bit more global but I can probably make this work.
