Metabase Cloud ddoses our postgres server

Hi!

We are using Metabase Cloud and when using it, Metabase leaves plenty of connections open ultimately causing our postgres server to run out of available connection slots. This issue has been first described in detail (along with diagnostic data from me) here: https://github.com/metabase/metabase/issues/8679.

Can somebody look into this for us? This is blocking us from using metabase in production.
