We’re running the latest self-hosted version (0.60.4.1), and I’ve been trying to install Metabot in our Slack workspace, but I can’t get it to respond at all.
When I try interacting with it — even using /metabot — Slack returns:
“/metabot failed because the app did not respond. Please try again or contact the app developer.”
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. All the OAuth/auth scopes seem correct, Metabase shows the Slack integration as connected, and I followed the setup steps carefully.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Do you have Slack notifications set up? Might try that first, if only to make sure your Metabase instance can contact Slack. Also make sure Metabot is working in Metabase.
Same issue. I confirm notifications work correctly but the bot doesn’t react when tagging him. I neither see any log related to the slack message
Metabot works in Metabase confirmed. But im not sure what you mean do i have slack notifications set up? I would think so, but do you mean like a specific setting on the Metabot app in slack?
Yup same exact thing…hopefully someone knows whats going on.
