Problem displaying the Personalized Email sender

Hi Guys,

After configuring my email smtp successfully on the admin part. Sending a test email still shows my email as the sender instead of the personalized email in the
“FROM ADDRESS Email address you want to use as the sender of Metabase.”

What could be the problem?

It depends on your SMTP server and what is allowed and how it might rewrite the email.

I am using a Gmail SMTP. Is there anything overriding those settings?

@namobi I’m pretty sure that Gmail uses a fairly strict security system, so you’re not allowed to set a FROM-header, which is not controlled by the username.
