Reformatting a column from numerical to text

I've got a column that is purely names. Metabase is treating it as numerical though. I've read that I can change the column type from numerical to text but I don't have admin access.

I'm looking for a way to do this through a custom column. I've used the concat function to go from text to numerical in the past and I'm hoping there's a way to do that here too?

You should contact your administrator. It's difficult to help someone, who doesn't have access to make any changes.
