i have been trying to set up the email service on metabase, but i kept getting username and password not match
checked:
- using gmail email address and password
- allow low security app to access
i have done the above but still having the issue

Have you tried going to the Google support page? https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials
I would highly recommend that you use App Password
