Use metabase meta-data to filters

I found in Metabase documentation, that I can use logged user identifiers in SQL filters ex. user_id parameter. So, is really possible to filter my data by currently logged user email or surname information?

Hi @pkasperek
Yes, it's available via Sandboxing:

Thank you @flamber. But, my problem is a little different. I use CitusDB (compatible with PostgreSQL). The database supports Row Level Security ( I can be given access by value in a row. How I can use it to filter data (access)? Maybe the Metabase supports parameterized connection by a logged user?

@pkasperek That is currently not supported. You would have to create separate databases per user. - upvote by clicking :+1: on the first post
