What’s the safest approach for changing Metabase URL from http to https

Hi,

We want to change the protocol for Metabase URL to https because using Google Client ID for Google Sign-in might have an issue with http.

In our Metabase we have several collections, dashboards, questions, and users with email/password sign-in information.

Assuming https is properly configured on our server that's hosting Metabase, what is the safest way to change the Metabase URL in (Settings > Admin Settings > General > SITE URL) from http to https considering the Information provided under “SITE URL”.

Our main concern is being locked out of the account.

I would appreciate getting more information on potential consequences of changing the protocol and what we can do to change it as safe as possible.

Make a backup and then change. If you get locked out simply restore the backup
