Emails not sending (cannot add new members)

Hello,

We’ve noticed emails stopped being sent out, which basically means we cannot add any new members.

This is the setup we use in Admin/Email:

SMTP HOST: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP PORT: 465
SMTP SECURITY: SSL

In the SMTP email and password I’ve put the gmail credentials.

When I click on Send test email, I get this error: “No matching clause: 535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at 535 5.7.8 https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials b27sm1426742ejd.6 - gsmtp”

Thank you in advance!

Hi @zissou
Google has changed a lot of their security, so you need to setup App Password for your Google account.
See this topic: Pulses to Gmail

Thanks a lot @flamber!

It helped me a lot, I managed to solve it by simply changing the security settings in google account directly (Less secure app access).

Cheers

@zissou Just note that Google is removing LSA:
