After upgrade, "create an alert" button is gone

I have upgraded from 0.38 to latest following the steps in the Metabase docs. After the upgrade, I can no longer create or edit alerts. The dropdown item is gone:

I cannot find any settings in admin that would affect this. My SMTP config still works. Permissions are the same.

This is the second issue I’ve had with this upgrade, the first being that the collection menu navbar is gone (I cannot filter for questions vs dashboards). At this point I worry that Metabase is even going to be truly usable post-upgrade.

The docs are out of sync with the platform.

Hi, thanks for this feedback! What version of Metabase are you currently running? The option to create alerts has moved around a bit. In v57, you can find it here , but in v56 it’s actually in the “sharing” settings.
