"We explored some paid solutions — Periscope, ChartIO and Looker — for our dashboard and visualisation. All of them roughly work on the same principle that you connect to your data warehouse directly and visualise SQL query results. The interfaces that they have are really impressive, but they come with a monthly or per person cost, or charge by the number of rows which feels restrictive and which is a really big investment given this was the first time we were using such solutions. We might come back and explore them further down the line, but not right now."
