Create dataset from sql query

can I create new data set based on my sql query?

for example my data from Big query and I pull into metabase, I did some sql query for example to split the dataset into two categories, can I do that in metabase? when I split the data set so I can call the dataset directly for “ask a question”.if can how to do it?
