I do a custom build of metabase by downloading the source code tagged in a given version.
Forr v0.39.1, after built was complete, the logs show a vUNKNOWN. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Make sure that you update your build procedure to the latest - a lot has changed the last couple of months
Make sure that the latest tag is v0.39.1 - you're seeing this issue:
