Defining embedded filter values via API without making the default

I am looking for an option to dynamically pass in dropdown filter values to embedded dashboards without making them pre-selected (default).
I was able to add them when using these params: Redirecting…
But that leads to having the passed in filter values selected:

Is there a way to just pass them in so that they are only displayed and selectable but not considered default?

No, I want them shown and not preselected, just for them to be there in the dropdown list.
