As an agency deploying Metabase to various clients, the flat $12/user fee makes scaling expensive—especially for end-users who only look at finished dashboards.
It would be great to see role-based seat pricing similar to Looker and Tableau:

Viewer: ~$1/user (Read-only dashboards & filters)

Explorer: ~$6/user (Self-serve queries & light editing)
-
Creator: ~$12/user (Full SQL, data modeling & admin)
This flexibility would encourage wider company-wide adoption without inflating licensing costs for passive consumers of data.
