Feature Request: Clean Screenshot Mode for Charts and Dashboards

I'd like to propose a feature that would enhance Metabase's sharing capabilities: a "presentation mode" or "clean screenshot mode" for charts and dashboards that temporarily removes UI elements not directly related to the data visualization.

Current Situation: As Metabase becomes increasingly popular for data visualization and sharing, many users (myself included) frequently need to share screenshots of our charts and dashboards in presentations, reports, and social media. While Metabase's UI is excellent for interaction, these UI elements can be distracting when sharing static images.

Proposed Solution: A toggle or mode that would:

  • Hide navigation elements
  • Remove filter UI components
  • Hide additional menu options
  • Maintain only the essential elements: chart title, legend, axes, and the visualization itself

Use Cases:

  • Creating professional presentations
  • Sharing insights on social media
  • Including visualizations in reports
  • Creating documentation

Quick update on this request with a concrete visual example.

I’m sharing a comparison image:

Right now:

  • text is hard to read in screenshots
  • UI elements add visual noise
  • charts need manual editing before sharing

A clean screenshot mode could:

  • hide UI chrome and filters
  • increase font sizes
  • keep only title, axes, legend, chart
  • optionally add a small footer: “Made with Metabase”

This would make charts immediately usable for:

  • presentations
  • reports
  • social media

And turn shared screenshots into lightweight Metabase marketing.
