[Feature Request] Postgres Schema specified in connection

Hi, My logs are full of Metabase trying to access schemas it has no permission to access.

I know that is a quirk of Postgres to show objects even though a role has no usage even.

Can we add a field in the Postgres connection dialogue to specify schema(s) which Metabase should be probing?

Thank you,

Hi @bamboo
Perhaps I don't understand which privileges you have defined or which logs you are referring to, but:

I'm referring to the postgres logs. They are full of Metabase attempting and failing to scan schemas it has no privileges for.

We have dozens of schemas and hundreds of tables in our postgres database.

Metabase is only be used for a few of those schemas. hence it has USAGE and SELECT on those schemas only.

Thanks, I upvoted and commented. It looks like there are a fair number of requests going back a long time for this. Is it on the roadmap at all?

@bamboo Metabase was a really small team until recently. You can see that from the amount of issues fixed in newer releases.
Here's the roadmap: https://www.metabase.com/roadmap/

But please don't comment on issues unless you really have some good inputs (that hasn't already been stated). It simply just clutter everything and many people get notifications. Simply just upvote.

Thank you for the excellent product that Metabase is. I've only just begun exploring integrating it more into our company. The feedback thus far has been very positive.
I deleted the comment on github.
And that roadmap matches many of the wishes I've had so far in working with it.
Cheers,
