Not sure if this is by design or "user error" 
but filters never seem to give me drop down behaviour when attached to a custom column.
In addition as it's not a true column I don't get to control it via the table metadata settings to override behaviour. Is anyone else seeing this or is it just me? The default I get it search for text.
v052.2 - but have experienced this behaviour for as far as I can remember.
