How can we prevent employees from sharing private data on public Metabase dashboards and educate customers about the public accessibility of requested information?

We want the ability to share our work with people who don’t need access to our full Metabase dashboard, by providing public links and/or public embeds. While we know it's possible, we're yet to explore how to do it as it's a new process for us.

  1. How do we ensure that our employee’s with Metabase access don’t accidentally share something to a public dashboard that is private information? Such as PII, payment information, etc?

  2. How do we (or should we) educate or ensure our customers requesting this information understand that it is in fact public. It may not be easily accessible but it is, open, on the internet.
