How will Non public database access work in Metabase?

Hi,

Pretty new to Metabase and this community. I am sure this has been asked before but I am thinking of giving metabase a try. However my UAT and Prod AWS Postgres databases are non public as in have private address.

In the past we had to use Tableau Bridge via an EC2 instance to expose the data to Tableau.
I am wondering how easy/hard is this to do in Metabase?

Either use on-prem version of Metabase or open your firewall to allow access to the Metabase server for cloud version.
Metabase has no equivalent of Tableau Bridge. An open source equivalent would be interesting though.
