Hi Metabase Team,
I hope you are doing well.
Note: I am a paid user of Metabase.
I am facing an issue while setting up linked filters in Metabase, and I would appreciate your help in resolving this.
In my case, I am working with the Messages table where the following columns exist in the same table:
- Account Username
- Subaccount Username
- Agent Username
While creating a linked filter, I tried to link Agent Username with Subaccount Username. However, the Subaccount Username column is appearing under the “Incompatible filters” list, even though it is in the same table and should meet the condition for compatibility according to Metabase documentation.
From my understanding, if the columns exist in the same table, they should be available for linking. But in this case, Subaccount Username is not showing up as a compatible option.
Request
- Could you please explain why Subaccount Username is being treated as an incompatible filter, even though it is in the same table as Agent Username?
- Are there any hidden conditions, restrictions, or metadata requirements that could be causing this behavior?
- Could you guide me on the best way to configure the linked filter properly in this scenario?
I have attached the relevant screenshots and query setup for your review.
Your support on this matter will be very helpful as this issue is blocking the dashboard setup.
