Metabase Fails to Connect to Trino

I am using Metabase version v0.50.8, I have tested on Trino Version 417 and 418. The database type selected is Presto, I can connect to Trino using the CLI and Dbeaver but I cannot connect through metabase. I keep getting the error message

Query failed (#20240630_051253_00008_b52iq): Prepared statement not found: statement1

What could be the problem?

What version of presto are you using? I am not sure there is a version which is currently compatible with 50

I have the same exact problem with:

  • Metabase: 0.50.27
  • Trino: 464

In addition, I see the query failing with USER ERROR — NOT_FOUND but if I replicate the queries from the CLI everything works fine:
