Metabase Restarting after big query

Hello Guys,

I have some users in my company that doesn't have some care about querys quality, so, sometimes they execute query without limit with more then 5 milion rows and metabase crashing.

Is there any way to avoid this? For exemplo superset add limit argument on every query.

Thank you

@rubenssoto Metabase has hardcoded limits on queries, so it should limit queries to 2,000, 10,000 or 1 million rows - depending on if it question or export.

Post "Diagnostic Info" from Admin > Troubleshooting.
And include information about your setup - how much RAM is available and how much Metabase can consume (see the first log entry during startup).

Could you guide me?

@rubenssoto

  1. Post logs from when Metabase crashed - check somewhere on your server or on AWS, since that looks like what you are using
  2. Describe how many resources the server has available
  3. Memory is only shown during startup - it's before Metabase actually loads. Check your server logs (not the Metabase logs)

If you don't want to manage stuff like that, then I would recommend you using Metabase Cloud:
