I have added a new column to a table in Athena. I have gone to admin panel and triggered rescan_values for that table. I have also triggered rescan_values for the whole database. Still the new column is not appearing in the list. Can someone please help me how to add a new column instantly to a table.
@omkar you need to re-sync your table rather than re-scan it. This article provides is more information on syncing and scanning options as well.
I have done both rescan and resync. Once for the database and Once for the particular table. Still no luck.
