New user email

Good day,

Currently in our environment we don’t use the LDAP connection as there are only few users accessing Metabase.
I am testing the messaging functionality and so I have configured the Email Settings in Admin.
When adding a new user, Metabase automatically sends them an invitation email (now that email has been configured).
Is there any way to suppress or modify this behaviour? For now I prefer to do this by hand.
And a related question: In future if I enable LDAP authentication, will anything happen to the users that have been manually added?

That’s currently only part of the Enterprise Edition.

If you use LDAP auth, then you’ll set it up, so users can signup themselves. If you manual add people, they will be created as regular email logins (with invitations):
