Options for show value on data points

Is there options for just showing values for first / last or highest / lowest data points?

The current options for "As many as can fit nicely" or "All" show too much values and sometimes cause the charts too be a bit cluttered.

No, there's no option like that, since that is basically the same as showing the Y-axis.
