Overlay multiple maps (Pin and Region)

Hi,

I'm trying to use maps to visualize data, the ability to overlay different types of maps is what I need to do but isn't present currently in metabase; specifically pins and regions. I'm using custom GeoJSON maps, which seems to work well for both pin and region but not

I had found a previous question about this (Combination region map + pin map?) and the solution doesn't appear to be specific to this use case. So my questions are:

  • Is this something Metabase will support in the future?
  • Is there a method to making to possible similar to the solution above?
  • If a method is possible, will I be able to do this on the pro plan?

Thanks,
Cal

Hi @CRPort
I don't understand what you are looking for, since it sounds exactly like https://github.com/metabase/metabase/issues/3991. I cannot tell you if or when a feature will be implemented.

Hey @flamber, thanks for the reply.

I'm looking for the ability to use a region map with pins. The solution posted is trying to put OpenStreetMap behind a region map which I don't think is the same.

The question I posted in my OP has a decent image of what I mean:
36c23253b069ca306032aec189463921c773ea61_2_690x311

Basically a combination of both a region and a pin map. I'm not sure how the solution posted would allow for that but I may be misunderstanding.

@CRPort This is a sentence in the description of the issue:

... is there any chance if we can use this Openstreet Map below the custom region map? ...

There's no solutions posted. It's a feature request tracked in this issue:
