See SQL of broken query

How do I see the query for a broken query?

I see in this question that the button to display the query appears only after running the query (See SQL for Custom Query)

But if the query is broken I do not see any button to display the SQL. Am I getting blind?

As for more context, the query broke because I renamed the schema/table the query was using.

I was viewing the question signed up as a view only user.
The open editor button is on the top right as it should be.
