through POeditor some people translated all words and sentences in German some time ago but it was never integrated in the metabase releases. Is there a special request / upload process in Github or how can we ensure a translated language is placed in the releases?

Sorry for the lack of communication on that front. Our approach is to release new languages once they get to 100%, which German did shortly after version 0.31.0 was released. We neglected to include it in version 0.31.1, but Iām happy to say we have included it in the upcoming version 0.31.2, which we hope to release this week.
