Does anybody know how to get a Metabase image running under Docker to work via https for apache web server

My metabase image is already running but without https on port 3000

Yes, you would add that to Apache, since you’re using the as a reverse-proxy. DigitalOcean has many great articles on Apache as reverse-proxy and LetsEncrypt:
