Metabase Background Query to mysql

I have connected metabase to 2 databases on mysql. For one of the database, the query is taking too much time and not able to understand how to stop it or control it. This is causing other work or queries on that database to stop… How to find out which background queries are being started by metabase and how to control it or stop it? Currently I have to kill it from mysql but then it starts again…

Metabase does a sync+scan - it sounds like you might be seeing those queries, but it’s hard to tell, when you’re not listing them:
